Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
what over the counter or prescription medication can be taken for a sleep aide? i am diabetic and have high blood pressure and want to make sure that their is no interaction ( i have already tried advil & tylenol, over the counter and it had not worked ).I currently take glucophase, diovan, levothyroid. My name is Colleen and thanks in advance.
I see that you have already tried over-the-counter medication for insomnia without effect. I suggest you to use prescribed sleeping pills such as Doxepin (Silenor) which help you fall asleep.
You should consult your doctor for the prescription. I also suggest using chamomile tea for more effect.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
