Suggest Medication For Fever

hi there,
My son is 22 months old. He is having continious fever from part 3 months. The fever is repeating in every 10-15 days.
Last week he was having 104 degree fever continously for 5 days. The CBC test shows that his TLC count is 24000 so his pedriatician prescribed penicillin injection twice for 3 days. High fever has been controlled now but when we repaet the CBC test it still shows the count of 15000. Doctor has still kept him on 2 antibiotics (Cefixime and Amoxiline). Please advice if he is getting the correct medication & treatment? Also what is the normal range of TLC for 2 years old baby?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Normal range of TLC is 4000-11000/cmm of blood.
During infections the count rises and after treatment it gradually comes down to normal levels.
The doctor will decide the course of antibiotics depending on the diagnosis.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
