Suggest Medication For Constipation Despite Taking Linzess

Should I get a second opinion for chronic constipation? Linzess didn t work after 1 month trial. Amitiza didn t work after 3 week trial. 12/16 colonscopy resulted in lg polyp we ll send to pathology , then he prescribed Lactulose 10GM/15 - 1T/3 times a day. After 3 doses I m extended and gassy and found online one shouldn t take it if lactose intolerant (which I suspect as I ve used few milk products for years, but never tested for) and the Gastroenterologist never asked about whether or not I tolerated lactose before prescribing Lactulose Oral Solution . Losing confidence in trial and error.

Hi,

Please get your thyroid profile done for chronic constipation issue. Wether you are lactose intolerant or not can simply be verified by taking milk. If you develop gases and abdominal pain or bloating, then surely you are lactose intolerant and then avoid taking lactose solution.

Your constipation can easily be relieved by concentrating on your bowel health and food habits which I can suggest after getting all your medical details. For the time being you can take Tab Herbolax or Tab Kayam (kayam is better) which can be pursued online. Both of them are entirely safe and sound Ayurvedic medicines. I shall tell you about dose and other things once you get medicine and thyroid profile done.
