Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

Topical treatment of acne mainly revolves around topical antibacterials like clindamycin, nadifloxacin; topical benzoyl peroxide and topical retinoids like adapalene, tretinoin.
The gel that you have started using contains clindamycin 1% and I suggest you to continue with it, once daily or twice daily.
However, topical treatment of acne is never complete without a topical retinoid e.g adapalene.
Topical retinoids are comedolytic and therefore they break down comedones, which are the precursor lesions of acne.
Therefore, if I was the treating doctor I would have added a topical retinoid i.e adapalene gel for night time application.
Apart from topical treatment Oral antibiotics e.g Doxycycline, Azithromycin, Minocycline etc may also be started if you acne is inflammatory.
I suggest you to visit a dermatologist. Your dermatologist will assess and advice accordingly.

Regards
