Suggest Medication For A Burn Wound On Leg

Hi dear doctor, Happy New year I burnt my leg by bike silencer 3days ago, had done 1st aid and proceeding with washing with h2o2 applying anti inflammatory cream and sometimes neosporin. While sleeping the skin gets openend and it pains while tears showing red inner skin. Should I continue with this medication or go for dermatologist ?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on the description, it appears that the local treatment what you are following is not sufficient for the wound to heal.
Kindly do the following so that it would heal early and better.
1. Clean the wound with antiseptic like Povidine twice daily.
2. Apply Neomycin cream on the wound.
3. Take a course of oral antibiotics like Amoxacilin with Clavulenic acid.
4. Take antiinflammatory medication like Ibuprofen twice daily after food.
In the meantime, try to avoid trauma to the part and keep the wound clean and healthy.
