Suggest Me Treatment For Cut On My Knee As It Is Pale Around It?

I have a small cut on my right knee. At that spot there is a quarter inch circle of paleness around the cut. I don t know how I cut it and only noticed it because I got a piercing, stinging pain while kneeling a couple of weeks ago. It still hurts intensely whenever I kneel or if pants rub against the spot. Any ideas what is causing the pain or how to treat it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest to clean the cut daily with an antibacterial soap. Rinse the wound with water. Apply an antibiotic such as Neosporin cream and cover the wound with a clean bandage.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
