Suggest Dosage Of Thyronorm That Can Be Taken During Pregnancy

Hi.. I am 10 weeks pregnant. My age is 30yrs. Before pregnancy i was taking 100 mcg thronorm. Every month my thyroid report is coming within the range. But this time suggest me to give blood sample without tablet. In this latest report my tsh level comes 6.44.. Reference range of the Lab is 6.16. So my tablet has been increased by 12.5 mcg more. Is it ok? And second thing which blood sample gives better result that to be considered with tablet or without tablet? Plz suggest

Hi, I think the increase in dose is fine. You can give the test in any manner, with or without the medicine. Stopping the tablet for one day will not make any difference. In pregnancy, the cut off of TSH is taken as 2.5 to 3. So, generally dose needs to be increased. Get a thyroid level again after one month to see the effect of tablet. Get a thyroid profile done for your baby when born. Hope it helps.
