Suggest Dosage For Oxycodone While Suffering From Kidney Stones

I have severe r side back to groin pain. I am 5 months post op extensive back surgery. my current pain management is 600mg gabapentin am and 600 pm. I took 15mg baclofen and 1200 mg gabapentin 4 hrs ago and 10mg oxycodone 2 1/2 hrs ago with no relief. I have used heat and ice-no go. I feel that I may be trying to pass a kidney stone. I have passed 2 before. I do not want to go to the ER. How much oxycodone can I take to get through the night?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The usual dose of Oxycodone for an adult to get the analgesic effect is 5-15 mg every 6 hours.

However, any medicine consumption should be only followed as per the guidelines of your consultant only to avoid any issues.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
