Suggest Dosage For Nyquil

I used filled a 1/2 TBSP baking measuring spoon to give my daughter the recommended 2-tablespoon dose of Children s Nyquil (recommended dose 2 TBSP/30 ML). After seeing how much was in the dose, we worry that it may be too much medicine, and when we checked vs 10 ML measuring device, we found that our dose was probably closer to 40 ML than 30 ML. How concerned should we be?

Hello,

It sounds like you were supposed to give a 2 tablespoon dose (about 30 mL). This should be the dose for a child 12 years or older.

So, assuming your daughter is at least 12 years old, if she took 40 mL, I wouldn't be concerned, this is a small amount and shouldn't cause any problems.

You can just adjust your dose to give the 30 mL every 6 hours for any future doses she needs.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
