Suggest Dosage For Clonidine
Hi, I am foster caring for a 4 year old boy who was prescribed 25 mcg Clonidine BD for ADHD management approx. 3 months ago. Although his overall activity levels / focus on task have improved, I notice that between 1500-1700 every day his activity levels escalate dramatically. It s almost as if his morning medication is starting to wear off at this time of the afternoon. Luke has his evening meal at 1700 - is it safe to give his evening dose at 1700 or a bit earlier or does it need to be spaced exactly 12 hours from his morning dose? Please advise.....

For hypertension. Immediate-release tablets 0.1 mg PO every 12 hrly. Range: 0.1-0.2 mg/day every 12hr; not to exceed 2.4 mg/day. Trans dermal patch.
Apply 1 patch for 7Days; start with 0.1 mg; increase by 0.1 mg after 1-2Week interval; usual dose range is 0.1-0.3 mg per week.
