Suggest Dosage For Biotin Supplement While Having Onychoschisis

I had been taking a biotin vitamin supplement to strengthen nails, hair and skin...i have trouble with my fingers splitting into painful cracks...I saw a higher dose of biotin at the store last time and so thought maybe more is better....any risk to that? I also must note that six months ago I had an emergency stent placed in my heart and now take 5 different medications...including baby aspirin.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I do understand your pain and discomfort. As per your history take 200 mcg once a day but continue always and use [BATRAFAN cream] once a day in the nail and after 7 days clean it and reuse up to one year.

I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me. Wishing you all the best.

Thanks,
Dr. Uday Nath Sahoo
