Suggest Diet To Be Followed To Cure Jaundice In A Diabetic Patient

Hi! My Dad is diabetic (age 45) and suffering from jaundice (1.7) . Although his sugar levels are well controlled but due to consumption of fluids such as coconut water and fruit juices his sugar levels have increased. It would be really helpful if you could suggest some diet for him which do not elevate his sugar levels as well as aid in curing jaundice. Zubair

Hi,

Vegetables and fruits should be taken. In case of diabetics, fruits such as apple, guava and papaya can be consumed. Complex carbohydrates and protein should be avoided.lean protein can be taken.Avoid alcohol. Simple protein such as boiled egg, clear vegetable soup can be taken. Plain tea or coffee can be taken around 1 or 2 cups.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
