Suggest Diet Plan For Diabetes

Today I went to Dr for Diabetes check, not good 62 was 53 soooooooo what do I do. Its my life style , will I be able to get it back down thank you. ;Love Bread, wine, cakes, 97 kilos fat tummy, no exercise, Can I get myself sorted out, feel 30 I am 64. Diabets for maybe 8 years. Lot of stress the last couple of years. Can I get healthy again . Thank you Lindy in New Zealand. I need simple. Not good at sticking to things. Thank you but do want to live a lot longer. Please help. Thank you

Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

Consume foods having low glycemic index. Keep a record of blood sugar readings daily. Do not consume food after 6:00 pm.
Brisk walking for 30 minutes daily is a must.

Avoid single high concentrated meals.
Small frequent meals more times in a day.
Food high in fibre content like vegetables, whole pulses, fruits, etc.
Ideal combination of diabetic diet should be:--
Carbohydrates: 55-60%.
Fat: 30%.
Proteins: 15-20% (0.8g /kg /body wt).
Fibres 40 g/day.
Take unrestricted:--
Salads (cucumber, tomato, onion, raddish, salad leaves).
Vegetables (cabbage, baigan, lady fingers, french beans, methi, palak).
Fruits (except banana, chockoo or mangoes).
Sprouted beans and pulses.
Marie biscuit (with less sugar).
Clear soups, Lemon juice, Buttermilk
