Suggest Cure For Abdominal Cramps

Hello- I am writing to ask about my 9 year old daughter. She has complained for the last couple days about an upset stomach but has had no other symptoms. Today the nurse at her school called me to come pick her up. Since 1:00 this afternoon she has had severe abdominal cramping and can not keep anything down. She complains of extreme thirst but tries to drink water and within 10 minutes of drinking, she vomits. She has drank nothing but water and her vomit has been a yellow color. No temperature present.

Hello,

Some advice that I can give to you is:

-Drink a large amount of clear fluids to remain hydrated, but consume it in small sips at a time.
-Avoid solid foods of any kind until vomiting stops.
-Avoid using medications that may upset your stomach, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or Corticosteroids.
-Take ORS (Oral Rehydration solution) medication.
-For abdominal cramps, use Buscopan tablet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
