Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 2yr daughter had watery stool for 1st day with fever, after taking snuff sachet it was controlled, but she seems to have stomach pain and a urgent feeling of going to poop every half n hr. its the 3rd day now.Doc prescribed zifi100. along with econorm...wht should i do?
I am sorry for the situation your little daughter is going through.
It seems that she is having an acute viral gastroenteritis. That's why she is having stomach pain and urgent feeling to gong to poop every half an hour.
It is important to get her well hydrated and take the medications as prescribed.
Please monitor her body temperature. The symptoms will subside in a few days. Do not force her to eat, but, encourage her to drink plenty of fluids (water, tea, juice, etc.).
If the symptoms will get worse or you will notice blood in her feces, should contact her pediatrician as soon as possible.
Wish her fast recovery! Dr.Albana
