Suggest An Alternative To Canasa For Treatment Of Proctitis

Hello, I have history of proctitis and I am on cansa suppository. symptoms with considering dietary choices like low fat diet and possibly avoidi stressor, symptoms -blood in stool- when get controlled. my 3 main questions are below: 1- is there alternative for canasa for times when I am away from town overseas for more than 6 months and this medication is not available outside except within USA.I used to receive oral tablet - internal coating but did not work for me. 2- does surgey helps in treating the condition because occasionally there are pusy discharges I find too when passing motion. I wonder if that wound in the rectal area needs to be cleaned like they do for any superficial wound with discharge in order to heal. 3- is there a risk for proctitis to develop to cancer because it keeps worrying always.

Finding out the cause (infection, hemorrhoids, etc) would be a first step as these have specific treatments. Wounds in the anal region are tricky to say. Ingeneral, they heal very fast, BUT they often have complications like boils, extension inside, etc. that even require (very minor) surgery to fix them.
