Suggest An Alternative Of Soliqua Injection

I have been taking Soliqua injections 30mg once a day for 6 months in an effort to control high blood sugar. I have had bloating and constipation and I have gained about 10 pounds. I feel good and my blood sugar is controlled, but I do not like the weight gain. I have not changed my diet or my exercise from before. Is there another option for injection that would not have this weight gain as a side effect? Thanks.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Soliqua is a brand name of insulin injection. You can try other brands like Humulin which is more patient compliant. Weight gain is not a side effect of insulin. Make sure that your blood sugar level well controlled. Do routine physical exercises like swimming.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
