Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It seems to be the IBS (Irritable bowel syndrome ) is kind of functional disorders and it may not be the pathology of any kind, it is all depends upon your thinking and thought and the psychological factors that plays the role behind it, instead of taking some drug better to come out of the stress, some time such symptoms can be managed with Tab Chlordiazepoxide with Clinidium dose adjusted according to severity, the maximum dose is three times in day and minimum is once in day.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

I have two conditions. Short Bowel Syndrome and Type 2 diabetes. I can t eat a traditional diabetic diet. On days when my SBS is particularly severe, I eat very little or nothing at all. This throws me into a low blood sugar. I just had a spell of low blood sugar of 28 accompanied with severe shaking and weakness. Usually I only have the rapid heartbeat and lightheadedness. Any suggestions?

I am 23 years old, female, with Short Bowel Syndrome. I started Iron IV therapy on Thursday, and have been in misery since. I had therapy in the past, but not with this bad of a reaction. I have extreme body and bone pain, back pain, a severe headache, stomach ache, nausea, constipation, painful urination, weakness, occasional chest pain (feels like heart palpitations), and am barely able to eat or drink. I am in pretty bad pain most of the time since late Thursday. I have tried benadryl, tylenol, and dramamine. I cannpt take NSAIDS because of my short gut. I don t usually go to the doctor for pain reasons, but I have been considering urgent care because of hw uncomfortable I am. I want to know if this is normal, is it even worth it seeking urgent care, and how can I prevent the next one in two weeks from being this bad. I don t know if I can go through this again.

My son has Short Bowel Syndrome! He had been through 2 bowel lengthening procedures (STEP Procedures). After his 2nd lengthening, he started to have blood clots in his stool and has been loosing blood since then. What do you think is the cause of that?
