General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Sorry to hear of what you have been suffering, in fact such symptoms of aggression and hyperactivity are best controlled with Depakote. However, for brief times, we generally advise people to take Benzodiazepines for short time control of the symptoms, this is a class of anxiolytic sleep inducing drugs, that would calm the person for a short time. This must be prescribed by registered psychiatrist, so I would like to talk to a psychiatrist regarding the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
