Suggest an alternative of Carbamazepine

I am currently being prescribed Carbamazepine for seizures and have on this medication for 20 + years and it has controlled my seizure s. However by insurance is now charging me an outstanding copay for medication and I was wonder is there another medications that is recommended for seizures that or similar to Carbamazepine (Tegretol)?

There are many drugs available for seizures.

Carbazepine is among the first line drug used for seizures.

Usually without any reason it is not advisable to change drug.

Sodium valproat also good drug for seizure

But medication selected according to type of seizure. So provide me derail history about your health
