Suggest An Alternative For Oxycontin

I am on oxycontin for chronic pain; i have 4 dislocated vertebae, knee problems; and can barely turn my neck when driving. Anthem Blue Cross said they are no longer paying for 20 mg oxycontin. Walgreens charges me $503 and said they will not honor any coupons for discount. First of all, is that true and if so are all the other pharmacies like this also/ thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health

Oxycontin contains oxycodone. Generic oxycodon is manufactured by Actavis pharmas, Impax generics etc which are available.at all pharmacies with a prescription. These generic forms are cheaper than oxycontin.
Please be advised to approach the nearest pharmacy.

Hope this answers your question
