General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, greetings! Thanks for the query. Vitilligo is treated depending on the site and extent of the lesion. It may be treated by a compound called psoralens which may be locally applied or taken by mouth depending on the extent. Also ultravoilet light therapy (UV-A) may help. Steroids can be used for recent lesions and also to produce better response. Newer immunomodulator drugs have been discovered. I suggest you consult a local dermatologist so that he can do a thorough inspection and decide about the best treatment modality.
