Suggest Alternative Treatment For Lichen Planus Black Spots

Son 40 years old is visiting....he can t eat without throwing up. Has lots of diarreaha, has like backup feeling of heart burn in chest and throat only at night so can t sleep. Tenderness in abdominal area. Has been using chewing tobacco for many years...often swallows instead of spitting and uses alcohol excessively at night in order to pass out to sleep. What type of doctor should he see...and is it urgent?

It is possible that the vomiting and diarrhea may be due to viral or bacterial infection of the gastrointestinal tract.

Infection is the most common cause of acute vomiting and diarrhea.

The main aspect of treatment is fluid replacement to give him back what is losing.
Oral rehydration fluids or sports drinks such as gatorade would be best because they would give back both fluids and electrolytes.

Probiotics would also help as well as medications to reduce vomiting (dramamine or peptobismol).
