Suggest Alternative Treatment For Frequent Nose Bleeding
Hello, My 79 yr old Mother fell and had a concussion in December 2015. She is now having nose bleeding often. Her PCP put her on steroids and she will see an Eye, Ear and Throat spec this week. She also complains of the side of her neck bothering her after her nose bleeds. I am concerned and would like to know if there is any other action I should be seeking for her? Thank you

Make sure that her blood pressure is well within the normal range. Uncontrolled hypertension is the major cause for nose bleeds. Additional causes like nasal polyps or other lesions in the nose must be ruled out.
