Suggest Alternative Medication For Nintedanib Prescribed For Pulmonary Fibrosis
The drug Nintedanib (Ofev) has been prescribed for my pulmonary fibrosis. I am to take it twice per day. The cost of 30 tablets is approximately $9800 per month. Is there an alternative medication, which is just as effective and costs less since the cost of Ofev is too much for our budget.

There is another medication that has been approved from pulmonary fibrosis called pirfenidone but you would need to check the cost to compare.
Because these medications have been relatively recently approved, generic options would not be available as yet.
