General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of the baby seem to be related to side effects of the syrup. It may cause vomiting, diarrhea or stomach upset. If the cough is improved with the syrup you can continue to use it. I also recommend to give him liquids to help improve the cough.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
