Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have earwax and maybe some other substance, Carmex, in my ear. It is now "clogged" and is too deep for me to just get it out with a q-tip. I used a product NeilMed/Clearcanal, but did not loosen the substance. Obviously this is bothersome and I am asking what other "home" remedies I can try to clear the wax from my ear. Thank you, Bob
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have formation of excess ear wax which is mainly due to ear infection. It is due to excessive debris accumulation leading to otitis interna. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to avoid touching and pricking it with any object. You should take antibiotic Levofloxacin. Put otogesic drops on ear. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get otoscopic examination done and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Apply warm compresses. Maintain proper hygiene.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
