Suggest A Remedy For Painful Sores On The Roof Of Mouth
I have developed sores on the inside roof of my mouth and they hurt . They started two days ago when I got this random ear ache and sore throat that cleared up in a 24 hr period with rest. The sores on both sides of the mouth roof are small crater like but hurt and don't seem to be improving. What is this? What can I do to clear it up so it is not painful to eat. ?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain painful sores on the roof of the mouth that occurred after sore throat and ear infection seems to be apthous ulcers and even the appearence of small crater like sores indicated to be canker sores or Apthous ulcers.. I would suggest you to start gargling with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine.. You can take multivitamin tablet daily.. You can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen.. Do warm saline gargles.. Gargle with 1:1 solution of milk of magnesia and benadryl will help.. Avoid hot and spicy food.. Take a soft diet and drink plenty of water.. Maintain a good oral hygiene.. In case of no improvement consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
