Suggest A Remedy For A Sinus Infection And Cough

Thank you. I am taking cefdinir for a sinus infection along with tessla pearls for cough but I have started coughing much worse and start to choke and gag. I don't have a runny nose or fell stuffed up but the coughing fits are getting more frequent.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sinus infection and cough which means you are suffering from condition known as chronic sinusitis due to upper respiratory tract infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take nasal decongestant sprays, Antihistamines and antibiotic combination as infection is present. Co amoxiclav is best treatment option. Apply mist humidifiers in room. You should take steam inhalation. Avoid intake of outside food. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Go for paranasal sinus X ray and get puncture and drainage of sinus if required. You can go for surgical reconstruction of opening after proper prescription. Do warm saline gargles.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
