Suggest A Prognosis For GGO Of The Lungs, With Breast And Bone Cancer
I was just diagnosed with ground glass opacities in both lungs. What is the most usual outcome, length of life etc. Does it turn into cancer? What is the most successful treatment? I am an 80 year old female with breast cancer metastasized to my bones (not good odds) I would appreciate any help you could give me. Sincerely, XXXX, YYYY
Ground glass opacity is not a sign of cancer and it can be due to infective causes like pneumonia, consult a pulmonologist and get evaluated. An HRCT (high-resolution CT) may be taken to get a better clinical picture.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
