Suggest A Medication For Cough And Throat Irritation As Ammoxcillin Did Not Work?

my son is eight and a half years old, has had a cough since a week, it really wasnt too bad, doc gave 5 days of ammoxcillin and again 3 days , he was fine but today he has been coughing really bad, throat irriatation may be after having the milk.please help me!

Hi,
After active infection subsides there might be having cough remain for few days more.
Continue with cough syrup few days more.
Avoid giving him junk food and cold drinks.
Ok and take care.
