General & Family Physician 's  Response
Thanks for adking HCM.
Kindly do his stool routine and culture to rule out presence of causative organism.
Diet for dysentery, diarrhea, or ameabiasis is as follows:
1. Increasing liguid intake and keeping him hydrated would solve the half problem.
2. only liquid diet for first 2 days every one hour.
which include pomogranet juice, rice kanji, dal ka paani, coconur water, vegetable soup, etc.
3. After motions have settled down to some extent you can start giving semisolid diet which should include khichdi, arrowroot powder mixed and coocked in water, curd with rice, mashed bananas, etc.
4. Gradually solid food should be introduced.
5. Avoid milk, ghee, butter, spices, fried food during this period.
Hope this will help.
Thanks.
