Suffered A Burn To Left Hand, No Pain. What Could Be The Reason?

thank you, two days ago I suffered a burn to left hand. I don t know when It happened, because it didn t hurt, and still doesn t. The burn is about size of quarter on top of hand. the skin had almost come off. I went ajhead nd pulled it off. What do you think is the reason I have no pain?

Hi,
If the burn extends down to the deep level of tissue then the nerve endings will have been destroyed by the injury. This is probably why you feel no pain.
Keep the area clean and dry and apply a sterile gauze dressing to avoid infection developing.
