Stitches In Middle Finger, Rest Of The Fingers Red, White And Swollen. Adviced To Keep It Covered

I got 5 stiches on my middle almost at the top, really bad and it s looking like dead finger some of it looks white and red and swollen, it happened last nite, it hurt and feels like its going to burst,the nurse told me to keep cover and splint on because it broken to but the cut looks like it s been in water for hrs
