Small Child, Suffering From Viral Infection, Loose Stools, High Fever, Cold Fingers, Feet. Treatment Options?
Hello my name is XXXXXXX..a week or 2 ago my 23months year old son was diagnosed witg a viral infection..he has a running stomach with a mucurish coating n is running a high fever around the head but with cold fingers n feet ..what should i do?? Av already triead tupid sponging him..giving paracetamol syrup n a luke warm bath but the temp just keeps coming bacl. Plz advise me

Hi,
It seems that your son is having acute gastro-enteritis givning rise loose motions and high temperature.
He requires urgent medical treatment to prevent dehydration and having high fever.
Consult pediatrician and get examined.
He may require antibiotic medicines.
To prevent he may need IV fluid as well.
Meanwhile give him paracatamol syrup 4-6 hourly.
Give him plenty of water.
Ok and take care.
