Skin Burning Sensation In Abdomen After Failed Back Surgery. Culneal Nerve Severed. Relief With Ice Packs, Muscle Relaxers
Hi Dr. After a failed back surgery over 40 years ago I developed a skin burning sensation in the abdomion wall are which persist even toda y . After countless ways of searching for help (accuputure chrriopracters ect) It still persist. The head surgeon at the Semmes Murphy clinic her in Memphis said I had my culneal nerve severed Which at the time I also had the burning in my left pelvis wher they took the bone off mycrust. The burnig ther subsided about 10 years ago but still persist in the area around the navel. The best relief I get is with ice packs and somr muscle relaxers-but most of them do not work anymore. Someone saib it was a dermatone problem but would the burning not have stopped after all this time? Thanhs for any help Rick H
