Should Pregnant Women Be Engaged In Work Involving Travel On Bad Roads?
Hi Doc I am 10 weeks pregmant and my work requires a lot of travelling and unfortunately it s mostly bumpy gravel road as it is in the villages. Today I travel on the most bad and bumpy road and inhale a cramps andlower back pains. I m afraid I the worst! IS it safe for me to continue working like this, will it not harm my baby?
The continuous travelling over bad roads is not advisable in pregnancy. It is not safe. It can lead to abortion if the jerk is more. So it's advisable to take rest and don't travel much like explained by you.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
