General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Ovaries need not be removed for prolapse. The ovaries are removed for conditions like fibroid and other related conditions. Moreover, it is difficult to remove ovaries through vaginal route.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you all the best.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
