Should Injury To Head Causing Headaches Be Checked In Case Of A High BP Patient?

slipped on driveway late yesterday afternoon and landed on my rear then my elbows then the back of my head hit the pavement. It gave me a headache for a second or two , seemed fine after that. ate dinner had wine went to bed. No obvious symptoms since, except sore neck and elbow. I am a 62 year old female being treated for high blood pressure and high cholesterol. should I go get checked by M.D.?

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for posting the question in HCM

I understand your concern

in view of your age and high blood pressure I think that you need a physical examination by a neurologist and if required a CT scan to exclude a remote possibility of bleeding in the brain surface. So, I suggest you to get evaluated.

Please feel free and let me know in case you need any help

Best wishes,

Dr Gopal K Dash
