Should I Use An Ointment For Cut Around Anus?

Hi Doc. Im suffering from hemmorroid. i used factu suppossitory last night. it helped a bit because there was less blood this morning but the pain is still there as if there s a small cut around my rectum.should i be using an ointment already? thank you

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

You can use an antibiotic ointment in the area to prevent infection.

Use stool softeners for a few days to reduce straining and to prevent the cut from being irritated and worsened.

Use a lot of fluids, this would also help with stool consistency.

Sitz baths for 10 to 20 mins, 2 to 3 times a day would help to reduce swelling and pain. This would be in warm water (not hot) with salt or epsom salts
