Should I Take Regesterone To Prepone Periods And What Are The Side Effects?

Hi Doc, I am 29 year old Single. Need to Prepone the menstrual cycle dates by 5 days.. Generally have a cycle of 28 days. (last time it was 6th). At times it is 30 days. Have been walking a lot for an active life so it may get delayed this time but have to travel on 5-6 June so need it to end by 3 June. Someone suggested to have Regesterone 5 mg idewally by 23 or 34 May for 3 days and then stop. It will lead to early periods within 3 days of stopping the dose. Wanted to confirm the same and alsoi wanted to ask whether it causes more dysmenorrhea? I already suffer from severe pain and dullness. Also, How does it affect the cycle. Will it lead to a shorter menstrual cycle forever?

Hi dear, be relax. Regesterone contains Norethisterone its a routinly prescribed medication for period regulation. As per your doctor prescribed you can take the medicine. you may have some side effects like excessive bleeding, weakness, pain in abdomen. for that no need to worry take tab Ibuprufen as a painkiller. Its a safe medicine in most of the cases. It will not affect your periods regularity once you stop it. It will not shorten your next cycle.Hope this helps.
Thanks and Regards
