Should I Take Dilzem And Metalor Post Electrophysiology Studies For Supraventricular Tachycardia?

Hi Sir, I am Grace 49yrs female, undergone EPS for SVT a week back. Now still the cardiologist kept me on Tab- Dilzem 30mg tds ,Tab. Metalor 25mg bd and Tab. Ecosprin75mg hs. . Even after the EPS ,why I should be on this medication?I feel like having palpitation inbetween but my pulserate shows normal rythm.Is it ok ?

Hello and thanks for your query. It is a good idea to stay on these medications. If they did an EP study on you and afterwards felt that you needed the medication then I would do what the cardiologist recommended. These medications are used to lower blood pressure and regulate the heart beat. If the cardiologist felt you could stop them I think they would have suggested that. Good luck to you.
