Hello doctor. I am being prescribed clexane to prevent uterine clotting after ivf embryo transfer. (I have a gene variant which can cause clotting and cause miscarriage and clexane had been proved to help). My clinic are not familiar with prescribing clexane for this problem, but have prescribed 1 x 40mg injection per day. Should this be enough to stop clotting? I m not sure how long the effects of each injection of clexane lasts for? And also how long does it take before clexane starts to work from the initial injection? I haven t started taking it yet and have my transfer booked in for a week today. I m planning to start taking the day before embryo transfer. Is that soon enough? Many thanks.
