Should I Stay Out Of Water With A Blister On My Lip?

I have the beginnings of a fever blister on my lip--it hasn't broken or scabbed over yet, it's just the beginning of a blister. I am supposed to take my kids to an indoor water park tomorrow and am not sure if I should go in the water with them--I do not want to give this to anyone else. Would appreciate knowing if I should stay out of the water so as not to spread the virus, or if it's okay for me to go in. Many thanks.

hello,
i appreciate your concern, the features what you are telling looks like you are developing herpes labialis, its a viral infection, its a self limiting condition. it can be treated with antiviral drugs but its effective only when it is administered within 48hrs of the onset of the lesion. otherwise only symptomatic treatment with topical analgesics is fine. you better avoid going to water park..
thanking you...
