Should I Continue Taking Medicines For BP Of 114/72?

I am a 64 year old male. I recently stopped taking my blood pressure meds as well as my Lipitor for cholesterol. I have been monitoring my BP to see if it was going to adversely affect me. It has been on a gradual decline ever since I stopped. It was in the 150/91 range, and has decreased each day over the last 10 days. Todays reading is 114/72. What do I take away from this? Am I doing the right thing?

Welcome to HCM
I have read and understood your query
Hope this will help you
As far as the hypertension is concerned,in a small number of people, particularly those who really stick to the lifestyle measures, it may be possible to reduce or stop some of the medications.
However When people stop their blood pressure medication, eventually most have to go back on them.High blood pressure is something that affects you in the long-term and, therefore, it is very important to keep it controlled over the long-term and to keep taking the tablets
Keep a regular check up of your bloodpressure,if it stays in the range, just stick to the diet precautions like low salt and oil intake. You can go back to bloodpressure medications if it start rising again
Rest you have nothing to worry about yet
I hope this is useful to you. If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
