Should I Be Worried As There Is A Little Pus After A Biopsy?

I had a biopsy on my back two weeks this tuesday. It was healing fine but then see redness and felt a little sore. Ive just took dressing off and there is a little pus, light brown in colour. There is redness on say a second circle round it but its not as painful as it has been. Should i be worried. Its right on bra strap.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Development of redness, soreness and pus collection at the biopsy site suggests presence of infection.
The biopsy site can develop infection.
You need to consult your doctor for clinical assessment of the biopsy site.
In case there is substantial pus collection, it has to be drained.
Antibiotic has to be started to control the infection.
A topical antibiotic ointment may also be required.

Thanks and take care
