Should Mobic 7.5mg Intake Be Discontinued To Avoid Dizziness In A Heart Patient?

My boyfriend was prescribe Mobil 7.5mg. He has been taking it for two weeks. This weekend he started getting dizzy. He has heart disease and has had a bypass about 11 years ago. Should he discontinue the medication? He is going to call his doctor tomorrow but just a bit nervous right now.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Yes if he is having a side effect from the medication, he should stop it. I only say this because mobic is not a heart medicine. It is for pain. For any heart medications he would need to talk to his doctor first, but with the mobic it is okay to stop it until he can talk to his doctor.
Regards
