Should I See The Doctor If Having Redness In Eye And Blurred Vision After Rubbing Contact Lenses?

Hello, I had my contacts in and I was rubbing them pretty hard. They were very irritated, looked in the mirror and it is very red and the inside of it is swollen, kind of looks bubble like, also kind of looks jelly like too. (Sorry best way to describe it). I took my contacts out. my vision is a little blurred. Should I go to the ER or wait and call my eye doctor in the morning?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having redness and blurring of vision following rubbing of contact lenses.
This indicates damage to the cornea or eye surface. You need to discontinue contact lenses till the symptoms are relieved.
The corneal abrasion if there requires treatment by the use of antibiotic eye drops and artificial tears.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
