OBGYN 's  Response
Hello and welcome,

I understand the issue.

Duvadilon is used to keep the uterus relaxed and prevent preterm pains. The actual research and literature suggests that it must be used to prevent preterm pains for a short term only and does not help in the long term and is associated with side effects. However many obstetricians do use it as actual practice does show that it may be helpful.

It can be taken till 36 weeks after which we usually recommend to stop the drug as we want labor pains to start after this.

So if your doctor is prescribing it then you may take it till 36 weeks and then stop.

Hope this satisfies your query.
