Should I Be Worried For High Cholesterol Levels?

I had a blood test and it came back with a few readings. The big number that jumped out is I have high cholesterol, 256. However, I am very active. I teach spin six days a week. I also swim 2-3 days a week too. I have a body fat % of less then 12. I am 6 feet tall and my weight stays between 160-167. Is this a number to be concern with?

Hi welcome to HCM.
High cholesterol in your case is a concern to be addressed. This level has to be reduced within 3-4 months to below 150-180 mg%.Drugs like Statins will help to reduce the cholesterol levels. You are currently on good exercise protocol regime.I advice you restrict your calorie intake to less than 2100 cal/day.Adequate hydration will help.Consult your cardiologist for further help.
Thank you
